Lancement de Project MAC

Le MIT lança Project MAC en 1963 sous la direction de Robert Fano pour étudier le temps partagé, le calcul et la cognition assistée par machine. Le projet d’intelligence artificielle du MIT, fondé en 1959, y participa ensuite ; il ne s’agissait pas d’un seul laboratoire fondé en 1959.
