뉴런 모델

워런 매컬럭과 월터 피츠가 “신경 활동에 내재된 관념의 논리적 계산”을 발표하여 최초의 인공 뉴런 모델(매컬럭-피츠 뉴런)을 제안했다. 이 모델은 뉴런을 단순한 이진 임계값 스위치로 단순화한 것으로, 훗날 신경망 연구의 기초를 닦았다.
